Ryan Garcia in Talks for Welterweight Clash Against Teofimo Lopez
Ryan Garcia is set to take on fellow American champion Teofimo Lopez in his next outing following a dominant stoppage win over Conor Benn. Both fighters hold world titles in the welterweight division after securing major victories earlier this year. Meanwhile, Benn is expected to take time away from boxing after his trainer ruled out any future bouts at the welterweight limit.

Ryan Garcia is in discussions to meet domestic rival Teofimo Lopez in his next bout following his decisive victory against Conor Benn last month.
Garcia successfully retained his WBC welterweight championship in Las Vegas by stopping the British contender inside two rounds. A matchup with Lopez would represent a high-profile division showdown, as Lopez currently holds the WBA welterweight title after earning a majority decision win against Rolando Romero in August.
Following the defeat, which was the second loss of his professional career, Benn has not yet confirmed his future plans in the sport. However, his long-term trainer Tony Sims stated that Benn will not compete at welterweight again. The 30-year-old fighter also announced on social media that he intends to take some time away from the ring, even as speculation continues regarding a potential third meeting with Chris Eubank Jr.
