Broncos Edge Seahawks in Overtime Following Decisive Defensive Stand
The Denver Broncos secured a low-scoring overtime victory against the Seattle Seahawks thanks to a crucial defensive turnover. Seattle mounted a fourth-quarter comeback to force the extra period, but an interception ended their hopes as Denver moved to 4-2 on the season.

The Denver Broncos leaned on their defense to secure a hard-fought overtime victory against the Seattle Seahawks in a low-scoring battle in Denver.
Seattle mounted a late comeback after trailing 14-3 in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Sam Darnold directed an 11-play, 67-yard drive that ended with a one-yard touchdown run by George Holani. Darnold subsequently connected on a two-point conversion pass to trim Denver's advantage to 14-11 with 3:37 remaining in regulation.
Denver seemed poised to close out the contest when Kris Abrams-Draine intercepted Darnold with 1:25 left on the clock. However, the Broncos were forced to punt, allowing Seattle to send the game to overtime courtesy of a 34-yard field goal from Jason Myers with just three seconds remaining.
Despite holding momentum entering the extra session, Seattle was undone on its opening possession. Darnold, who struggled against Denver's defensive front and was sacked five times on the night, threw his second interception of the game to Ja'Quan McMillian. The turnover set up Denver in prime position, and the offense gained eight yards before converting the game-winning field goal.
It was an offensive struggle for the Broncos, who mustered just 30 yards and two first downs during the entire second half. Denver quarterback Bo Nix completed 17 of 27 passes for 107 yards. Darnold ended the contest completing 27 of 51 attempts for 278 yards and two costly interceptions.
Following the defeat, Seattle head coach Mike Macdonald emphasized the critical need to protect the football, noting that Darnold is aware of that responsibility. While Macdonald expressed pride in the team's effort and unity, he acknowledged that there are controllable areas requiring swift improvement as the team works to resolve its issues.
With the victory, Denver improved to 4-2. The Seahawks dropped to 3-3, marking their second consecutive defeat following a loss to San Francisco.
