Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo has been ruled out of action for approximately one month following an injury picked up against Paris Saint-Germain. The setback means the Spanish international will miss several key fixtures, including the upcoming El Clasico clash against Real Madrid.

Spanish champions Barcelona have announced that midfielder Dani Olmo is facing roughly a month on the sidelines after sustaining an injury to his left thigh.

The 28-year-old Spain international picked up the knock during Barcelona's 4-2 Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital on Tuesday.

The expected recovery period rules Olmo out of crucial upcoming fixtures, most notably the El Clasico showdown against Real Madrid at Camp Nou. In addition to the clash with Madrid, the midfielder is slated to miss domestic league encounters against Alaves and Atletico Madrid, along with a European meeting against Aston Villa in the Champions League.

Olmo is also expected to be unavailable for international duty with Spain, who face Nations League fixtures against the Czech Republic on November 12 and England on November 15.

The midfielder, who arrived at Barcelona from RB Leipzig in 2024, has contended with recurring injury setbacks throughout his playing career.
